the highest leadership body of AID, the Board of Directors provides
governance, oversight, and advocacy to ensure that AID's mission is
determined, followed and advanced ethically, legally, and
sustainably through strategic planning, resource allocation, and
community engagement.Key Responsibilities:
- Determining the mission of the organization and ensuring
adherence to the mission.
- Providing financial oversight and ensuring sound financial
management, including responsible use of resources.
- Providing strategic and organizational planning, including
monitoring program performance and effectiveness.
- Assisting in fundraising and resource development, including
participation in fundraising efforts, identification of potential
donors and partners, and advocacy in the community for the
organization's mission and values.
- Upholding the organization's legal and ethical obligations,
ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Providing leadership evaluation and succession planning,
including selecting and evaluating the performance of the chief
executive and consulting on other key staff.
- Participating in board and committee meetings, in decision
making, and in recruiting new board members, ensuring that the
board operates effectively and efficiently.Individual
