Exciting Opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in Romeoville,

Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Develop and optimize continuous
production and manufacturing processes to achieve our output,
quality, and cost goals. Utilize scientific and statistical methods
to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Identify
process bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Best Practices and Innovation: Design, run, test, and upgrade
manufacturing and quality processes. Develop best practices,
routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and
output quality.
- Collaboration and Efficiency: Work closely with the production
team and quality assurance to analyze and plan workflow, equipment
placement, and space requirements. Support process improvements to
enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed work instructions
and process documentation using the Standard Work format. Provide
clear operating instructions to production employees and deliver
comprehensive training on new procedures and processes.
- New Equipment and Process Development: Support the
specification, installation, and startup of new equipment. Develop
and manage variable data programming. Create and track engineering
standards in collaboration with industrial engineers.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing processes
adhere to all government laws and regulations. Provide process
engineering support to enhance safety protocols and
compliance.
- Quality Control and Analysis: Evaluate and recommend
improvements for quality control processes. Analyze production
schedules, methods, and data, and provide management with detailed
reports and insights to aid in decision-making and future
planning.
- Project Management: Manage cost and time constraints for
process improvements and new projects. Perform risk assessments and
oversee the execution of process development initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide process engineering support
for ISO certification outcomes and other facility-wide process
engineering needs.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate findings,
proposals, and progress to upper management. Coordinate equipment
maintenance and repair services to ensure operational
efficiency.Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
with 5+ years of experience in process engineering. Experience in
flexographic printing or printing industry a plus. Or a comparable
combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Proficient in databases and spreadsheet software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent
problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle and
prioritize a heavy workload.
- Critical Competencies: Proven track record in project
facilitation, strategy development, and managing multiple
concurrent projects. An action-oriented, self-starter who excels in
